About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division in Colorado Springs. This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design and define software system architecture artifacts for new or existing software products.
- Gain proficiency in Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) and related tools.
- Create requirements and trace them to specific software components.
- Work within an agile development environment.
- Collaborate with software developers, subject matter experts, and other system engineers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university, with plans to be enrolled in Fall 2026.
- A major in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- An overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher is preferred.
- A current active Secret Security Clearance or higher is preferred.
