About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to join the Space Systems Sector. This internship offers the chance to contribute to structural analysis and design projects while working alongside experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Perform static and dynamic structure analysis.
- Review requirements for materials, structure systems, and subsystems.
- Select technical data from products and determine the engineering principles required for space applications.
- Develop design concepts and innovative solutions.
- Evaluate designs with your supervisor and other technical groups, making modifications as needed.
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct test programs to evaluate your work.
- Document your results in technical reports for review by senior team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
- You must be enrolled full-time for the Fall 2027 semester.
- A major in a STEM field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
