About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in structural engineering to help you transition from student to professional. You will work on projects that build practical skills beyond the classroom. The role is full-time and based on-site in Englewood, Colorado.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of project calculations.
- Assist in the production of design drawings.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a Structures Major.
- You have completed a minimum of 90 college or university credits.
- You are a US citizen.
- You possess good oral and written communication skills.
- You have organizational skills and perform detail-oriented work.
- You work well independently and collaboratively with guidance from others.
- You have a working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Working toward a Master of Science degree in structural engineering.
- Coursework in Reinforced Concrete and Steel Design.
- Knowledge of codes and standards such as AISC 360, ASCE 7, IBC, and ACI 318.
- Experience with STAAD.Pro for modeling, analysis, and design.
- Proficiency in MathCad, Excel, and Word.

- Compensation: $23 to $32 per hour.
