About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply engineering and mathematical principles to develop software for tactical radio equipment. You will work with cross-functional teams to build and test hardware-software interfaces and support the entire software development life cycle. This includes requirements analysis, design, implementation, and integration.
What you'll do#
- Write software programs, test procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to collect operating data and conduct experimental tests.
- Participate in peer reviews to identify and fix defects.
- Work with languages including C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, and Qt.
- Develop software for Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree.
- Relevant fields of study include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts and Sciences.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Richardson, Texas.
- This is an on-site, full-time position.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
