About the role#
This is a full-time software engineering internship at EMC Insurance Companies. You will work remotely and join our team to gain practical experience in a professional environment. We offer a rolling term for this position.
What you'll do#
- Learn our specific software development practices, tools, and standards.
- Help develop and maintain assigned applications.
- Take part in testing, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects.
- Review and update technical application documentation.
- Join team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
- Junior standing and a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher are preferred.
- You have a clear interest in software development through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities.
- You possess a basic understanding of programming concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and work well in a team setting.
- You can learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote and eligible for candidates located anywhere in the United States.
- This is a paid internship with a salary range of $19.50 to $23.00 per hour, depending on your location, skills, and experience.
