About the role#
This is a paid internship for Summer 2027 within the south central regional underwriting department. You will learn about our culture, business processes, and products while gaining a practical understanding of how the insurance underwriting process works.
What you'll do#
- Support underwriters by gathering information for new business and renewal submissions.
- Communicate with agents and other external sources.
- Develop your skills in risk analysis and underwriting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a business major, with a preference for students studying insurance, marketing, or finance.
- Completion of your junior year is preferred.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- A clear interest in a career within property casualty insurance.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and good computer knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- This position is based in Kansas City, Missouri.
- The role follows a hybrid work schedule.
