About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship for Summer 2027 within the Complex and Specialty departments at EMC Insurance Companies. You will gain industry knowledge and develop professional skills through daily responsibilities and project work. This role is full-time and remote.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training and job shadowing to learn claims processes.
- Conduct research for various special projects.
- Assist with the preparation of coverage opinions.
What you'll need#
- Completion of your junior year of college.
- A major in business, insurance, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Copilot.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- An analytical approach to problem-solving.
- High attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently in a legal environment.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote and eligible to be performed from anywhere in the United States.
- The internship is a full-time commitment during the summer of 2027.
- The hiring salary range for this role is $19.50 to $23.00 per hour, depending on location and experience.
