About the role#
We are looking for Data Engineering Developer interns to join our team in Montreal. You will work alongside a group of digital and data experts to build and maintain secure data flows. This internship provides an opportunity to work on real-world data challenges while collaborating with developers, data scientists, and end users.
What you'll do#
- Build, optimize, and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines to ingest data into our enterprise platform.
- Contribute to best practices for depersonalizing datasets.
- Work on data modeling and create reporting capabilities.
- Certify data as a trusted asset by building reconciliation pipelines.
- Participate in the development of data quality controls.
- Learn to use AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- Available to work full-time (35 hours per week) for the Winter 2027 term, from January to April.
- Must be an active student during the internship or returning to school in the Summer or Fall of 2027.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Bilingualism is required for candidates located in Quebec.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Strong enthusiasm for data engineering and cloud technologies, with a solid understanding of Big Data challenges, database systems, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
- Knowledge of PySpark and AWS is an asset.
