About the role#
The AI/ML Intern will support the development, testing, and deployment of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for our unmanned aerial systems. You will work with software, systems, and engineering teams to gain experience with data analysis, computer vision, and AI-driven technologies.
What you'll do#
- Develop, train, test, and evaluate machine learning and artificial intelligence models.
- Collect, clean, label, and preprocess data.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to generate insights from datasets.
- Assist with computer vision, object detection, image processing, and autonomous system projects.
- Create scripts, tools, and automation solutions for AI/ML workflows.
- Validate and optimize model performance.
- Document algorithms, experiments, and technical findings.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and team meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Follow company policies, cybersecurity requirements, and engineering best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and data analysis concepts.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software development basics.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Keras.
- Experience with data visualization, statistical analysis, or predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with computer vision, image processing, natural language processing, or autonomous systems.
- Experience with version control systems like Git or GitHub.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, databases, or large datasets.
- Participation in projects, research, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Compensation: $24 to $25 per hour.
