About the role#
The Manufacturing Intern supports our production teams in the assembly, testing, and documentation of unmanned aerial systems. This position offers hands-on experience in an aerospace environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals in manufacturing, engineering, and quality to support our production objectives.
What you'll do#
- Assemble, integrate, and test UAS components and systems.
- Prepare and stage materials, tools, and equipment for production.
- Follow drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
- Inspect components and verify completed assemblies.
- Identify and report quality issues or defects.
- Collect production data to support process analysis and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and production documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering and Procurement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited college or technical program.
- Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to read technical documentation and follow detailed instructions.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing setting.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to qualify as a U.S. person for ITAR/EAR controlled information.
- Preferred: Experience with mechanical assembly, hand tools, CAD software, or engineering drawings.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma concepts.
