About the role#
The Engineering Intern supports our team in the design, development, testing, and production of unmanned aerial systems. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams on real aerospace projects to build practical engineering skills.
What you'll do#
- Support projects involving airframe, propulsion, avionics, software, payload integration, and flight operations.
- Assist with engineering design, testing, data collection, analysis, and documentation.
- Participate in prototype assembly, system integration, and hardware testing.
- Conduct research and technical evaluations for product development.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, reports, and test plans.
- Support ground and flight testing under the supervision of engineering personnel.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and flight operations teams.
- Participate in engineering meetings, design reviews, and project planning.
- Follow company safety policies and quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited degree program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering.
- Ability to qualify as a U.S. person under 22 CFR 120.62 for ITAR/EAR compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or CATIA.
- Familiarity with engineering projects, robotics, or student engineering organizations.
- Basic programming experience in Python, C++, or MATLAB.
- Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, troubleshooting, or testing.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
