About the role#
As an Engineering Co-op in the Advanced Manufacturing Group, you will work directly with early career engineers to contribute to our projects while building practical skills. You will be assigned to one of three focus areas based on your preferences and interests. This role offers a hands-on environment where you can apply your engineering knowledge to real-world manufacturing challenges.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, assemble, and test robotic workcells and advanced machine tools.
- Evaluate and recommend processes for electronics manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and test machines to suggest improvements.
- Develop and deploy software to connect factory systems.
- Collaborate with software users to improve their experience.
- Assist with shop team tasks such as equipment installation, drafting, testing, and general maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering or technical program.
- Completion of at least two semesters of instruction or equivalent self-study.
- A willingness to learn and contribute in a hands-on environment.
- Ability to research independently and develop new solutions.
- Experience with engineering clubs, such as Formula teams, or similar projects.
- A desire to improve your technical skills and solve problems for a team.
