About the role#
The Editorial team at Mariner Group is looking for an intern to support our imprints, including Mariner, Amistad, HarperVia, and HarperCollins Español. This role offers an introduction to the book publishing process within a team that manages a wide range of fiction, nonfiction, and international titles.
What you'll do#
- Write jacket copy, fact sheets, and reading group guides.
- Read and evaluate manuscript submissions.
- Draft rejection letters for submissions.
- Attend team and department meetings.
- Assist the editorial team with various tasks as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate or master's program, specifically in English, Communications, or Media Studies.
- Availability to work 21 hours per week across 3 or 4 days.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- A resume and cover letter.

- Term: February 8 to April 16, 2027.
- This is a paid, on-site internship.
