About the role#
The FADER is looking for an Editorial Intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. You will work alongside our editors and writers to cover music news, conduct artist interviews, and write social copy. This is an on-site role based in Brooklyn, New York.
What you'll do#
- Write about music news, including new releases and tour announcements.
- Contribute to editorial series such as Songs You Need.
- Assist with transcribing interviews and conducting story research.
- Learn to use our CMS to format and build web stories.
- Interview artists and write about cultural trends or regional scenes.
- Attend concerts and live events as a representative of The FADER.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Academic background in Journalism, Communications, English, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Ability to meet deadlines while working quickly and accurately.
- Genuine curiosity about music and culture across genres.

- This is an unpaid internship for college credit.
