Editorial Intern (December 2026 Grad)

About the role#

As an Editorial Intern, you will develop your editorial knowledge and skills by studying The Chicago Manual of Style, BJU Press house style, and various publishing standards. You will work within the Editorial team to ensure materials are clear, accurate, and aligned with project goals. This is a paid, full-time position for the Fall 2026 term.

What you'll do#

• Practice proofreading BJU Press products.
• Read and discuss assigned books focused on the editorial process.
• Practice editing at various stages of project work.

What you'll need#

• Must be a college senior graduating in December 2026.
• Majors in English, Communications, or Journalism.
• Working knowledge of English grammar and mechanics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing, follow directions, and demonstrate an interest in editing and publishing.
• Acceptable performance on the BJU Press Editorial test.
• Must be a born-again Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, in agreement with the Bob Jones University creed and core biblical doctrines.
