About the role#
HarperCollins Publishers is seeking a Marketing and PR Intern to support the Harper Celebrate team in Nashville. This role offers hands-on experience in book publishing, covering both marketing and public relations. You will work on social media content, author events, and promotional campaigns while building your professional portfolio.
What you'll do#
- Create social media content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Write and edit book hooks, ad copy, and scripts.
- Manage weekly blog updates and bi-monthly newsletters.
- Assist with mailings, including Goodreads giveaways and Advance Reader Copies.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Publicity to draft PR updates and build press kits.
- Research and maintain media lists for book launches.
- Analyze social media engagement to provide insights for future campaigns.
- Attend monthly research meetings to track industry trends.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate or master’s program in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, English, or Media Studies.
- Availability to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 7 to August 12, 2027.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Experience with Canva is a plus.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- A resume and a cover letter addressed to the Hiring Team.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid position based in Nashville, Tennessee.
- You are required to be in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with Mondays and Thursdays designated as remote workdays.
- This is a paid internship at $18 per hour.
