About the role#
The Harper Perennial marketing team is looking for an intern to assist with title campaigns and imprint outreach. You will gain hands-on experience in book publishing by working directly with the team to generate interest in our titles. This role includes weekly intern programming and one-on-one time with your supervisor to discuss your tasks and career goals.
What you'll do#
- Provide general administrative support, including ordering galleys, e-galleys, and promotional items.
- Coordinate mailings to booksellers and social media influencers.
- Review e-Galley requests on NetGalley and Edelweiss+.
- Create content for the imprint social media channels, including photography and video creation.
- Research influencers and accounts for campaign outreach on platforms like Bookstagram and BookTok.
- Write copy for marketing letters and advertising materials.
- Submit requests for advertising assets and route final materials for approval.
What you'll need#
- Availability to work in the NYC office Monday through Thursday, June 7 to August 12, 2027.
- Status as a rising senior, recent graduate, or master’s student.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A passion for books and familiarity with social media marketing trends.
- A resume and cover letter addressed to the Hiring Team.
