    About the role#

    As a Security Analyst Intern, you will join our security team at our Wallops Island facility. You will help protect our personnel, assets, and intellectual property by contributing to physical security, program security, and enterprise risk management. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the security team in creating security education materials.
    • Conduct intelligence and risk assessments.
    • Perform network infrastructure research and physical security tasks.
    • Lead development projects.
    • Work closely with your mentor and other department employees to apply your skills.
    • Attend regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to review your progress.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an associate, bachelor, master, or doctorate program in criminal justice, national security, emergency management, or a similar field.
    • At least one semester of school remaining after the internship concludes.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • At least 3 months of general work experience, such as previous internships or team projects.
    • Ability to work full-time and on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks starting in May or June 2027.
    • A GPA of 3.5 or above is preferred.
    • Experience in the aerospace or tech industry is a plus.
    • Military experience, including active duty, reserves, or ROTC, is preferred.

    • Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
