About the role#
WEG is looking for a Marketing Assistant Intern to support our marketing team in Minneapolis. You will help develop and organize sales materials, coordinate customer visits, and assist with various administrative tasks. This role involves working across departments like Sales, Engineering, and Project Management to ensure our marketing content remains accurate and consistent.
What you'll do#
- Update and maintain sales aids, brochures, product literature, and presentations.
- Create and format customer presentations, internal communications, and other marketing content.
- Manage logistics for customer visits, including scheduling, agendas, meeting materials, and facility tours.
- Monitor customer feedback and survey results, then prepare summary reports for management.
- Maintain organized electronic files and document libraries.
- Assist with trade show preparation, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather information for marketing projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a two-year or four-year degree program in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong proofreading and document formatting abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take initiative.
- Ability to travel freely within our manufacturing and office facilities.
- Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
