About the role#
Benco Dental is looking for a Communications Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This role supports internal communications and digital media efforts. You will gain hands-on experience by creating content, researching stories, and supporting social media initiatives across Benco Dental and the 1930 Ventures portfolio.
What you'll do#
- Research and write stories for the weekly companywide newsletter.
- Interview associates to gather information for internal communications.
- Assist with proofreading, editing, and formatting communications.
- Create social media content for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Write and edit social media captions and digital content.
- Maintain social media content calendars and schedules.
- Research social media trends, industry topics, and content opportunities.
- Capture photos and videos at company events, meetings, and other activities.
- Monitor social media engagement, comments, and messages.
- Track social media performance and key metrics.
- Support communications, marketing, and special projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or Public Relations.
- Ability to work 15 hours per week.
- Must be local to the Pittston, PA area.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, and Canva.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective English communication skills.
