About the role#
The Sophomore Career Exploration Internship is a 10-week program designed for undergraduate students to gain professional experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. You will join the Legal & Compliance Group, which consists of the Compliance, Group Operations and Strategy, and Legal functions. This role offers exposure to project-based work, professional development, and mentorship from experienced staff.
What you'll do#
- Perform document review and analysis to ensure compliance with the Records Management Policy.
- Review compiled agreements and contracts and discuss relevant provisions.
- Conduct case law updates to ensure accuracy of summaries and descriptions.
- Drive initiatives to meet business goals and implement operational efficiencies.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate sophomore status.
- Demonstrated interest in finance, accounting, economics, capital markets, business, ethics and compliance, or operational management.
- Strong academic record.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Acrobat.
- Detail-oriented approach with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
