About the role#
As a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, you will support our economic research and policy projects. You will work closely with staff economists on a variety of topics, including macroeconomics, monetary policy, applied microeconomics, and finance. This is a full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist staff economists with the analysis of current public policy issues and events.
- Run and maintain financial, banking, and macroeconomic forecasting models.
- Prepare background material for briefings with the Atlanta Fed president.
- Provide statistical and computational analysis to support staff research.
- Assist with research on applied and theoretical topics.
What you'll need#
- A strong academic record in economics, mathematics, finance, statistics, or computer science.
- Proficiency with at least one statistical software package or programming language, such as Stata, R, Python, SQL, Julia, or Matlab.
- Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively.
- Eligibility to work in the United States on a continuous basis for other than practical training purposes.

- This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
- This is an on-site position. You are required to be in the office according to the schedule set by management.
