About the role#
As a Miami Lakes Learning Center Intern, you will join an engaged team focused on providing a quality experience for visitors. This role is part of our Student Trainee Program, designed to introduce you to career paths at Caterpillar and our dealer network. You will work alongside service instructors and support staff to help meet customer requirements safely and efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Receive safety and general training to prepare for your responsibilities.
- Interact directly with instructor and technician career programs.
- Observe daily operations to understand what is required to run the learning center.
- Manage a team to build your own professional skills.
- Participate in internship orientation, facility tours, networking events, business skill building, career discussions, and resume or interview workshops.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current junior or senior in a Miami area public high school with a graduation date by May or June 2027.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 is required, with no rounding.
- You must be able to work 3 hours per day, at least 4 days a week, from Monday to Thursday.
- Strong focus on safety and quality, with the ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to diagnose issues, offer solutions, and work well on a team.
- A positive attitude, reliable transportation, and a positive school attendance record.
- Willingness to learn and remain flexible on the job.

- This is an on-site role based in Miami Lakes, Florida.
- The position is part-time and paid.
