About the role#
Caterpillar offers a marketing internship designed to provide practical experience and core marketing competencies. Interns support our brand by creating stories and customer experiences that align with business needs. You will gain exposure to specialties including brand management, customer insights, marketing strategy, data management, and marketing technology.
What you'll do#
- Build foundational knowledge of Caterpillar products, services, and customers.
- Collaborate with experts in product development, dealer management, marketing, and sales.
- Complete rotational assignments to learn strategy, services, and products.
- Manage an assigned territory and serve as a connection between dealers and Caterpillar.
- Grow through soft skills development and hands-on technical training.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment at a 4-year college or university in Marketing, Business, Graphic Design, Communications, PR, or a related field.
- Completion of at least 12 credit hours prior to the start of the program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0, with no rounding.
- Ability to relocate to the internship location for the duration of the program.
- Strong initiative, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management or industry-related experience is valued.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
- The program runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- Locations include Peoria, IL; Tucson, AZ; Houston, TX; Irving, TX; Cary, NC; and Seguin, TX.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
