About the role#
This internship provides practical experience within the Product and Customer Support organization at Caterpillar. You will work with teams that support dealers and customers through technical guidance on equipment such as excavators, articulated trucks, dozers, loaders, and natural gas engines. This is a full-time, 12-week program running from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Build foundational knowledge of Caterpillar products, services, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with experts across product development, dealer management, marketing, and sales.
- Participate in rotational assignments to learn company strategy and service operations.
- Manage an assigned territory and serve as a primary connection between dealers and Caterpillar.
- Develop professional skills through hands-on technical training and soft skills development.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment at a 4-year university in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Completion of at least 12 credit hours before the program start date.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0, with no rounding.
- Ability to relocate to the internship location and manage a daily commute.
- Strong initiative, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.

- Locations: Peoria, Illinois; Tucson, Arizona; Houston, Texas; Irving, Texas; Cary, North Carolina; or Seguin, Texas.
- Modality: This is an on-site role requiring attendance five days a week.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
