About the role#
Caterpillar’s Manufacturing and Supply Chain Intern program offers students the opportunity to work alongside professionals on active projects. You will gain hands-on experience, network with management, and develop business skills through team interactions and performance evaluations. This is a 12-week, full-time assignment requiring 40 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and maintain processes to ensure output excellence.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related concerns.
- Participate in business analyses to support sales and operations.
- Ensure the availability of inventory for assigned products.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across logistics and supply chain workflows.
- Engage with diverse project responsibilities and collaborate with teams across the company.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a 4-year university in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Design, or Operations Management.
- Completion of at least 30 semester hours before the internship begins.
- A minimum 2.8/4.0 cumulative GPA.
- Ability to work on-site five days per week.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Project or team leadership experience is preferred.
- Ability to relocate to the assigned work location.

- Locations: Peoria, Decatur, Morton, Mossville, and East Peoria, Illinois; Griffin and Alpharetta, Georgia; Irving, Texas; and Seguin, Texas.
