About the role#
This is a hands-on software engineering internship focused on creating and improving weapon system solutions for real-time aircraft simulation and training. You will work with a team of engineers to solve complex technical problems in an agile environment. This role is paid and held on-site in Arlington, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Create, maintain, and upgrade weapon simulation solutions using standard and innovative modeling techniques.
- Design, code, integrate, and test software to meet system requirements.
- Develop software test procedures and documentation.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to perform experimental tests and evaluate data.
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles to your work.
- Perform integration and configuration of weapon simulations.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree in progress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Game Development, or a related field.
- Prior programming or software development experience.
- Ability to work in a mission critical environment and a dedication to continuous learning.
- Positive energy and the ability to contribute to a highly collaborative team.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
- Eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.
- Preferred skills include experience with C++, FORTRAN, Ada, Python, Linux, MATLAB, Docker, or gaming engines like Unreal or Unity.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to climb into and out of a single-seat cockpit.
