About the role#
This internship provides exposure to the tax operations of a large public company. You will work with a multidisciplinary team covering Canadian, U.S., and international tax, transfer pricing, and indirect taxes. This position offers a view of how tax rules are applied in a global business environment, serving as a formative experience for students pursuing a CPA designation.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the preparation of Canadian and U.S. corporate income tax returns and related forms.
- Support the analysis of quarterly and annual income tax provisions on an international scale.
- Assist with the follow-up of notices of assessment, tax audit requests, and tax deadlines.
- Contribute to the documentation of tax calculations, tax positions, and audit trails.
- Participate in international tax and reorganization work, including intercompany tracking and tax data analysis.
- Support the improvement of tax working files, primarily using Excel.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation, business administration, data analytics, or a related field.
- Completion of at least one to two years of undergraduate studies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in corporate, international, or transactional tax.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English, as the role involves international projects and collaboration.
Location & details#
- Location: Montreal, Quebec (St. Laurent site).
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 4 to April 23, 2027), with the possibility of an eight-month extension.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Status: This is a paid internship.
