About the role#
Join the Financial Shared Services team for a 12-week internship in Summer 2027. You will work in Pittsburgh, PA, on a hybrid schedule with remote capabilities. This paid position offers exposure to core financial operations and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects alongside our team.
What you'll do#
- Lead a review of Standard Operating Procedures and update the yearly review process.
- Perform account reconciliations and manage journal entries.
- Use accounting systems for monthly general ledger financial close and consolidation.
- Assist with lease accounting, including balance sheet account reconciliation and evergreen status management.
- Analyze business operations to identify performance issues and apply financial principles to real-world scenarios.
- Support the credit team by contacting customers regarding invoice status, documenting correspondence, and evaluating creditworthiness.
- Participate in ASAT testing to ensure credit processes remain effective.
- Attend leadership meetings and assist with ad hoc projects related to the general ledger.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Participation in at least one extracurricular activity.
- Demonstrated experience through internships, work, or research.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Compensation: $20 to $22 per hour.
- Relocation: A $3,600 stipend is available for students living 50 or more miles from the office.
