About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will support the Customer Service department with a focus on billing and account management. Your work involves processing component and engine induction information while ensuring customer requirements are met and communicated across the business unit.
What you'll do#
- Prepare quotes, proposals, estimates, and invoices.
- Analyze estimate-to-invoice variance and identify cost overruns.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, including engineering, operations, logistics, and supply chain.
- Explain pricing, estimate changes, and invoice variances to customers.
- Monitor cost projections and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate and host customer visits.
- Support the preparation of proposals and presentations.
- Apply project management principles and continuous improvement methodologies to your daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program for Communications, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, shown through at least two academic or work projects.
- Experience working in team-based environments.
- Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and perform basic data analysis.
- Analytical skills to interpret cost data and identify trends.
- Experience with negotiation, conflict resolution, or customer service.
- Familiarity with project management and continuous improvement methods.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Access, or production management systems is an asset.
