About the role#
StandardAero is seeking Mechanical Engineering students for internship positions during the winter and summer terms of 2027. This role involves supporting production and growth projects across areas such as production, service, quality, operations, and facilities engineering. You will gain hands-on industry experience by working alongside our teams.
What you'll do#
- Develop repairs for engine components and non-conforming parts.
- Evaluate costs and recommend reductions.
- Perform technical manual reviews and create electronic manual revisions.
- Review and implement tooling requirements in the shop.
- Write technical reports and procedures.
- Coordinate process improvement initiatives.
- Perform engine performance analysis.
- Research alternative methods for cleaning, plating, thermal spraying, and coatings.
- Assist with engine and accessories troubleshooting.
- Support facility improvements, maintenance projects, and energy efficiency initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least the first year of a Bachelor's or Engineering Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Effective interpersonal, decision making, and communication abilities.
- Project management skills.
- Understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles.
- Proficiency with computers and MS Office.
- Eligibility to work in Canada on a permanent basis.

- Location: Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
- Term: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
- Availability: Must be available for a 4-month summer term (May through August 2027) or an 8-month term starting in January 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
