About the role#
StandardAero is hiring a Machinist Student or Intern for our site in Hillsboro, Ohio. This is a full-time position that offers on-the-job training. You will work with a team to solve challenges in aviation component manufacturing. We are looking for people with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
What you'll do#
- Machine aircraft parts to tight tolerances using manual and automatic lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines.
- Fit and assemble components to close tolerances.
- Verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and complete reports.
- Assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
- Perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
What you'll need#
- Completion of high school, college, or vocational training.
- Ability to read and understand complex technical instructions, blueprints, charts, and tables.
- Capacity to work with minimal supervision while adhering to quality standards.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work overtime when required.
- Experience with CNC or cylindrical grinders is preferred.
