About the role#
As an Engineering Co-op, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside our teams in the aviation and aerospace component manufacturing sector. This role offers exposure to real-world projects and technical challenges within a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Research the viability of new programs or initiatives and present your findings.
- Conduct failure analysis and investigations.
- Evaluate and improve efficiency, streamline existing programs, or identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform studies or surveys and analyze the results.
- Design tooling or ground support equipment.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for equipment or material upgrades.
- Manage database updates and clean-up tasks.
- Create employee manuals and document process directions for specific tasks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects that deliver measurable results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering degree program, such as Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Experience with project management, CAD, and simulation software.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance and sit for extended periods.
- Lean Green Belt certification or previous manufacturing project experience is a plus.
