About the role#
StandardAero is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op student for an eight-month term in Langley, British Columbia. This position runs from January through August 2027. You will report to the Director of Engineering and contribute to various aircraft modification and tooling projects.
What you'll do#
- Create and update mechanical drawings using Solidworks.
- Draft work instructions and manuals to support aircraft modifications and tooling design.
- Collect aircraft project data, including inspection, performance, vibration, and trend analysis, to prepare reports.
- Assist with manufacturing documentation, data entry, and record keeping.
- Support First Article Activities for new manufacturing products.
- Maintain engineering documents such as ICAs, ELAs, FMS, and major modification reports.
- Handle research projects and miscellaneous tasks as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Solidworks.
- Ability to write detailed technical reports and specifications.
- Strong communication skills.
- Capability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment.
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Hands-on mechanical or electrical experience is considered an asset.
