    About the role#

    StandardAero is hiring a Co-Op Engineer for our Richmond, British Columbia facility. This is a full-time, paid position available for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. You will report to the Manager of Engineering and assist with various technical projects related to helicopter engine and component maintenance.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, develop, and integrate tooling.
    • Prepare materials lab samples and write analysis reports.
    • Collect data for non-destructive testing and prepare associated reports.
    • Assist with the collection and analysis of turbine engine inspection, performance, and vibration data.
    • Update process matrices based on OEM manuals, service bulletins, and internal technical instructions.
    • Help develop and maintain a tool database.
    • Prepare engine and gearbox teardown reports.
    • Support shop production regarding material and process specifications.
    • Manage record keeping, filing, data entry, and research projects.
    • Handle miscellaneous engineering tasks as they arise.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently working toward a B.A. Sc. in Materials or Mechanical Engineering. Students in their fourth year are encouraged to apply.
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Draftsight, and Solidworks.
    • Ability to write detailed technical reports and specifications.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • You can work independently or as part of a team.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment.
    • Hands-on mechanical experience is an asset.

    • This position is located on-site in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.
