About the role#
As a C++ Developer Intern, you will join our team to build solutions for computer generated forces (CGF) using the Unreal engine. You will help develop and integrate software components that provide pilots with a realistic simulation environment. Our department manages display solutions, visual rendering, sound effects, motion generation, and artificial intelligence for military simulation scenarios. The software you contribute to will be deployed on flight simulators used to train pilots worldwide.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a technical team of industry experts in flight simulation.
- Develop the next generation of flight simulation effects.
- Work in a C++ Windows development environment using Visual Studio.
- Use the latest gaming technology software and hardware.
- Learn and evolve within the field of visual systems and flight simulators.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of object-oriented development in C++ under Windows.
- Knowledge of physics and dynamic concepts.
- Experience with game development in the Unreal engine.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot, including hands-on experience integrating them into coding workflows.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
