About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity for a student in software engineering, computer science, data analytics, or information systems to support the technological transformation of the Tax team at our headquarters. You will work with the Tax team and internal partners, such as Global Finance Systems and Support, to modernize workflows and improve business processes. You do not need a background in tax or finance to succeed in this role. We are looking for a curious and structured individual motivated by technology who wants to help a specialized business team adopt new tools.
What you'll do#
- Analyze current Tax team processes to identify repetitive tasks, manual follow-ups, approvals, working files, and friction points that could be simplified or automated.
- Design, prototype, or improve practical solutions such as workflows, forms, SharePoint lists, dashboards, tracking tools, templates, or internal applications.
- Participate in projects using tools like Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Copilot, and Copilot Studio.
- Help structure the Tax team’s knowledge so that procedures, deadlines, recurring requests, audit trails, and reference information are easier to find and reuse.
- Explore use cases for agents, generative AI, intelligent search, or automation to improve information access and reduce administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with the Tax team and internal partners to understand business needs, test solutions, collect feedback, and support the adoption of new tools.
- Document solutions, business rules, workflows, procedures, and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science, data analytics, information systems, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Completion of at least one to two years of undergraduate studies.
- Interest in software development, automation, data, artificial intelligence, analytics, or enterprise applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and collaborate with business and technical teams.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- Experience or interest in Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, or Azure DevOps.
- Academic, personal, or internship projects involving programming, system integration, automation, data analysis, or data visualization.
Location & details#
- Location: Montreal (Côte-de-Liesse site), Quebec, Canada.
- Work model: Hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
- Term: January 4, 2027, to April 23, 2027, with the possibility of extending to an eight-month internship.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
