About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Software Engineering Internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at our East Hartford, Connecticut facility. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Develop, test, demo, and deploy in-house software.
- Assist your team in executing digital and software roadmaps.
- Learn about technologies used on military fighter engines.
- Use technical data to support weapon system products.
- Implement digital solutions and use core principles to improve processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a computer engineering or computer science degree program, continuing through the end of the internship.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Experience with programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, Rust, R, SQL, or FORTRAN.
- Familiarity with O365 tools, Visio, MS Teams, and Visual Studio.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with teammates, stakeholders, and management.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum principles.
- Experience using GitHub for versioning and ZenHub for task management.
- Strong writing skills for creating technical documentation, including method memos, release notes, design documents, and user manuals.
