About the role#
This internship focuses on the development of wearable medical devices within the Cardiac Diagnostics group. You will contribute to both new product development and sustaining engineering for existing devices. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to support the commercialization process and ensure design controls are met.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the development of wearable medical devices.
- Support product commercialization and design control processes.
- Contribute to sustaining engineering efforts for current products.
- Coordinate with domestic and international vendors to execute design concepts and testing.
- Create technical documentation including Hazard Analysis, design specifications, test protocols, and test reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or graduate degree program for Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Ability to work full-time during one of two program periods: May 17th to August 6th or May 24th to August 13th.
- Experience in product development or the medical device field.
- Knowledge of physiologic cardiac function and ECG signals.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques and statistical analysis.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with peers and management.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Reliable transportation.
