About the role#
The R&D Electrical Engineering Intern supports the design, development, testing, and verification of electrical and electromechanical systems for medical devices. You will work within the Interventional Urology market, collaborating with electrical, mechanical, software, and test engineers. This role involves supporting both new product development and sustaining engineering activities in accordance with medical device design control requirements.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, development, testing, verification, and validation of medical device systems.
- Perform laboratory testing, data analysis, circuit evaluation, and prototype development.
- Use laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, data acquisition systems, and environmental test equipment.
- Document lab work and test results according to project requirements.
- Participate in hands-on problem solving and resolution.
- Perform soldering and hands-on assembly or rework of PCBAs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Completed at least sophomore level coursework for undergraduates, or successful completion of core coursework for graduate students.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as a technical assistant on group projects.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Preferred: Basic programming experience in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, LabVIEW, or similar technical environments.

- Compensation: $25 per hour.
