About the role#
The R&D Engineer Intern joins our team to work on design and testing for medical devices in Interventional Urology. You will provide technical support to development teams as we work on new and existing research projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Minneapolis.
What you'll do#
- Specify, design, verify, and validate medical devices following regulatory standards.
- Develop design specifications and conduct design of experiments (DOEs).
- Write verification protocols and reports while maintaining accurate records of lab work.
- Participate in hands-on problem solving and technical resolution.
- Translate verbal instructions into clear goals and objectives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a 4-year or graduate degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Completed at least your sophomore year of undergraduate study.
- Successful completion of basic engineering coursework.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks, is preferred.
- Ability to develop test protocols and synthesize data for reports.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
