About the role#
The Electrical Engineering Intern will support the design, development, and testing of electrical components and systems for medical technology. You will work alongside senior engineers, technicians, and cross-functional partners to build prototypes, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve product performance. This role offers exposure to the full product development lifecycle through hands-on engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, development, and integration of embedded electrical hardware and firmware.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, design descriptions, test reports, and performance specifications.
- Prepare engineering specifications and procedures.
- Participate in laboratory experiments and testing activities to evaluate breadboards, prototypes, and early product builds.
- Assist with the design and documentation of cables and cable harness assemblies for electromechanical systems.
- Produce and evaluate engineering prototypes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent major.
- Completion of at least one year of your degree program.
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Effective problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic design software, with a preference for Altium.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
