About the role#
Electrical Test Engineering Co-ops at iRhythm work on solutions that improve healthcare and the patient experience. You will join a multi-disciplinary team to support the commercialization of next-generation wearable bio-sensors. You are treated as a regular member of the engineering team, meaning you take on project responsibilities and deliverables just like your colleagues.
What you'll do#
- Test, analyze, design, evaluate, and debug circuits.
- Contribute to the development of new wearable bio-sensors.
- Participate as a regular member of the engineering team.
- Gain exposure to the testing requirements for releasing Class 2 compliant hardware in the medical device industry.
- Approach prototyping and debugging with curiosity and document your results to support your findings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or a similar engineering discipline.
- Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, math, and physics.
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits.
- Hands-on lab experience, including soldering and using test equipment like multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Experience with prototype bring-up, debugging, and functional verification.
- Familiarity with schematic and layout tools, such as Altium, and simulation tools like SPICE.
- Experience using a scripting language, such as Python, for data analysis and plotting.
- Proficiency with standard office software, including spreadsheets and word processors.
- Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Term: Full-time, January through June 2027.
- This is a paid position.
