About the role#
The Technical Writing Associate assists in creating and revising complex technical reports and documentation. You will participate in the full scope of technical writing, including editing and creating Standard Operating Procedures and templates. You will work with stakeholders across the company to drive technical writing deliverables.
What you'll do#
- Conduct documentation activities in compliance with quality practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical information.
- Research engineering information independently, such as drawings, design reports, and test specifications.
- Edit technical content for product and process development projects, including updating documentation and incorporating reviewer feedback.
- Prepare documents through the internal Quality Management System and track the approval process.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Engineering or Technical Writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated competence as a Technical Writer or Engineer through previous co-ops or course projects.
- Experience working with an electronic Quality Management System.
- Ability to work independently and within a group.
- Ability to meet deadlines and project objectives.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (at least three days per week in the office).
- Employment: Full-time.
- Compensation: Paid position.
