About the role#
The Technical Writing Associate assists in the creation and revision of complex technical reports and documentation. You will participate in the full scope of technical writing activities, including the editing and creation of SOPs and templates. This role involves liaising with key stakeholders to drive deliverables and ensures all documentation activities comply with internal quality practices.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with SMEs to gather technical information.
- Independently research engineering information, including drawings, design reports, and equipment specifications.
- Edit technical content to support product and process development projects.
- Incorporate reviewer inputs and rewrite existing material.
- Prepare documents through the internal Quality Management System (eQMS) and track the approval process.
- Liaise cross-functionally with business units for technical reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Engineering or Technical Writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated competence as a Technical Writer or Engineer through previous co-ops or course projects.
- Experience working with an eQMS.
- Ability to work both independently and within a group.
- Ability to reliably meet project deadlines and objectives.

- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (requires at least three days per week in the office).
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $34,000 to $57,900 per year.
