About the role#
As an Operations & Strategy Intern, you will act as the right hand to our Business Manager. You will support the day-to-day operations of an international startup across three legal entities in Canada, the US, and the UK. This role offers hands-on exposure to finance, HR, legal, and administration. You will also contribute ideas on how AI agents can streamline our internal processes. You will work alongside the Business Manager, CEO, and leads across product, engineering, and sales. This is a high-trust position for a student who values ownership and variety.
What you'll do#
- Identify manual or low-leverage processes and document where AI agents could improve our work.
- Map current workflows and propose AI-augmented versions for product and engineering teams.
- Contribute an operations perspective to our internal AI agent roadmap.
- Manage contracts and documentation across our three legal entities.
- Maintain operational trackers, dashboards, and process documentation.
- Prepare materials for leadership, board, and investor meetings.
- Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and expense categorization in QuickBooks Online.
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and HRIS data maintenance in Rippling.
- Coordinate recruitment logistics and candidate communications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, HR, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a sense of ownership.
- Resourceful and self-starting approach to problem-solving.
- High attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Genuine interest in AI and its impact on business operations.
- Comfort working in environments with shifting priorities.
- Prior internship or work experience in operations, finance, HR, or administration is preferred.
- Familiarity with tools like Asana, HubSpot, Rippling, or QuickBooks Online is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: 20 hours per week, minimum 1-year commitment.
- Compensation: Paid internship.
