About the role#
This co-op position supports the Life Cycle Engineering team at Insulet Corporation. You will work with cross-functional groups, including electrical, systems, software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering. Your work focuses on improving product quality and reliability through root cause investigation, component qualification, and supporting product development projects. This is a full-time, paid role for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform verification testing against written protocols.
- Design test procedures, run custom tests, and analyze data to support design enhancements.
- Assist in rapid prototyping of circuit board assemblies.
- Manage project documentation, including protocols, reports, and design history files.
- Work hands-on with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, Instrons, and high-speed cameras to troubleshoot and identify bugs.
- Support the design and development of test fixtures.
- Assist or lead Engineering Change Orders.
- Perform data entry and summarize findings in formal test reports.
- Research practical applications of new technologies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited BS program for electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar field.
- A hands-on mentality and mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Familiarity with tools such as Cadence OrCAD (Schematic Capture and PCB Editor), MatLab, or Ansys. Experience with HFSS is a plus.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems in a professional manner.
