    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid co-op position for the Winter 2027 term, running from January 11, 2027, to June 30, 2027. You will work as an entry-level engineer within the R&D team to help develop drug delivery products. This role operates on a hybrid schedule.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with R&D engineers to develop concepts and prototypes.
    • Use in-house prototyping tools, including 3D printing, lathes, and mills, to iterate and validate ideas.
    • Create CAD designs and manage the fabrication of prototypes with outside vendors.
    • Analyze and test design concepts to determine feasibility and performance.
    • Present your concepts, analysis, and findings to team members and stakeholders.
    • Support critical design validation testing as required.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a BS program for Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proficiency with office software like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with engineering software, specifically SolidWorks, ANSYS, and Matlab.
    • Familiarity with lab equipment such as Instron machines, balances, microscopes, and oscilloscopes.
    • A data-driven, ethical approach to decision-making.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Completion of at least one prior co-op or six months of similar internship experience is preferred.
    • Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
