About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for a student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. You will join the team for the Winter 2027 term to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects. You will work on-site in Mason, Ohio, and function as a member of the department with daily responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop fixtures, layouts, and tooling.
- Assist on the floor with maintenance and production tasks.
- Observe current operations to create updated work instruction manuals.
- Help innovate work processes by adopting new technologies.
- Manage inventory and organization.
- Perform data entry, visualization, and analysis.
- Develop new processes to improve workflow.
- Prepare reports as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for mechanical engineering.
- Basic CAD knowledge.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to complete tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
