About the role#
Join the Product Development team to help turn early ideas for wearable cardiac technology into physical prototypes and testable designs. You will work alongside mechanical, research, electrical, systems, quality, and manufacturing partners. This role connects user needs with sensor performance, electromechanical design, and manufacturability. You will be treated as a regular member of the engineering team, involved in critical projects, and held accountable for high-quality deliverables.
What you'll do#
- Design mechanical components and test fixtures using SolidWorks.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, test methods, protocols, and reports.
- Prepare and review product requirements and test documentation while working cross-functionally with quality and regulatory groups.
- Prototype and test mechanical components through rapid iteration cycles.
- Assist with failure analysis of production components, assemblies, and field returns.
- Support the assessment of existing product designs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Perform lab equipment setup and maintenance as necessary.
- Contribute ideas that may support future product improvements or intellectual property.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
- Experience with solid modeling and engineering drawing creation using SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with lab test equipment and comfort working in a hands-on lab environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- A detail-oriented approach and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while prioritizing a supportive team environment.
